The July chill has well and truly arrived Sydney, it’s time to break out the puffer jackets and thicker socks in your search for the perfect winter warmer. Cockle Bay Wharf’s restaurants have opened their doors and turned the heaters on to bring you stunning meals by picturesque Darling Harbour.
Nothing says winter quite like comfort food, so start your dining experience at Pontoon Bar. We’re more than partial to a serving of the loaded fries! They come with gravy, melted cheese and juicy bacon pieces, perfect for sharing or tackling solo. You can also add Pontoon’s very own chilli infused olive oil to any woodfired pizza, a sure-fire way to bring some heat to the table.
For the perfect main course, make your way upstairs to Blackbird Cafe on the Balcony Level. For a hearty dish brimming with nostalgia we recommend the traditional Spaghetti Bolognese, the authentic napolitana sauce will take you back to the family dinner table. For a fine dining plate, the New York Steak is our meal of choice. We love ours medium rare for a tender finish that melts in your mouth. Both meals can be paired beautifully with a glass of Zeppelin Shiraz, a Barossa red that will please both wine explorers and experts.
For dessert, Cockle Bay Wharf’s iconic Lindt Chocolate Café is the place to go. Taste your way through the indulgent dishes and hand-crafted treats, our favourite way to finish a night in Darling Harbour. A popular option is the Lindt Chocolate Fondant, a dense chocolate cake with a molten Lindt centre, served with vanilla white chocolate ice cream. For a delightful twist try adding fresh strawberries or banana to balance the flavours. Lindt’s signature hot chocolates and mochas are available in your favourite variations. Choose from dark and milk chocolate, salted caramel, and hazelnut.
