Whether you’re relaxing on the Promenade with a spritz in hand or savouring every morsel of a world class meal, you’ll be making happy memories this summer at Cockle Bay Wharf.
Sydney isn’t one to let a pandemic get it down – so your favourite Darling Harbour venues have come together to create an iconic outdoor dining experience that transforms our waterside into an alfresco haven – Cockle Bay Wharf included! Our famous waterfront venues will be extending onto the Promenade to allow for more guests in a safe, fun and socially distanced setting. This means you can get your family, friends or colleagues together for fun under the sun (and even closer to the water) in comfort and style – found only in the world’s greatest harbour city.
Sydneysiders will be treated to delicious cocktails and bespoke menu selections from fine seafood to classic Australian favourites. Whether you’re after the perfect cold one or sizzling hot steak, there’s summer fun to be had with us.
Pontoon Bar is a Sydney staple for waterfront meals, with a menu featuring starters, pub mains and woodfired pizza. Complete the occasion with an ice-cold beer or jug to share. Explore their range of summery cocktails created for Sydney’s fun-loving locals as you drink the day away by the harbour.

From the people that brought you Mov’In Bed and Mov’In Car comes Darling Harbour’s newest addition, the Mov’In Boats summer cinema. This 15-metre screen will be showing your favourite blockbuster, rom-com and classic flicks as you relax in luxury. The 1000sqm floating platform features 40 row boats, 65 summer lounges, and a BYO boat section for Sydney’s nautical enthusiasts. The serviced row boats can hold 1-4 people, perfect for an unforgettable date night or family adventure. This spectacle begins Thursday 3 December with an all-time classic Dirty Dancing, with 12 other films showing on rotation until March 2021.
For a full Darling Harbour experience, pair your movie night with a reservation at Cockle Bay Wharf. Our top pick for date night is definitely cocktails and tapas at Café Del Mar Sydney before Ryan Gosling stars in The Notebook (Thursday 17 December). Or get the kids excited for Santa, with a Christmas feast at Blackbird Café followed by the festive favourite Elf (Wednesday 23 December).
