Racing season is here and we’re dashing to the dining experiences at Cockle Bay Wharf. Listen to our winners thrash it out for your Melbourne Cup booking.

And they’re all lined up. All the ponies. This is the most exciting day for fans of the sport and dining out. And they’re off! Adria Bar Restaurant in the middle of the race with Café del Mar close behind and it looks like Hunter & Barrel is followed by HOME The Venue running hard a few heads away with Nick’s Seafood coming up from the outside, putting on pressure.

And I’m Angus Steakhouse in the back with Pontoon Bar fifth and sixth, Pontoon Bar ahead by a leg, oh and Dockside is up, Dockside trailing in the polls, holding onto third, Dockside and L’Aqua at fifth and sixth, they’re riding off to the side.

And Tokio Hotel, Tokio Hotel riding comfortably in the back of the pack. He’s untouchable riding strong, maybe too quiet and brooding. But here comes Baia The Italian, she’s making a break for it, neck and neck with Blackbird Café, and wow, Baia The Italian has taken the first turn like a stallion.

Adria Bar Restaurant having a hard time with Hunter & Barrel on the inside corner out of the gate, and edging out Nick’s Seafood by a nose, and Café del Mar, Café del Mar is losing the lead, he never had it, not technically, but Pontoon Bar has broadsided Dockside, they’re trading spots in the back now.

And HOME The Venue has a late burst, but Pontoon Bar is flagging, and L’Aqua is in the middle of the pack.

And holy moly, you’re not gonna believe this, in an unprecedented move, Dockside has officially caught up to L’Aqua and is back. in. the. race!

Hunter & Barrel is at the back of the pack, still running strong, passing Tokio Hotel on the outside, and they’re rounding the corner for the final approach. This is why we watch the horsies ladies and gentlemen!

Adria Bar Restaurant pulls ahead and Nick’s Seafood is searching for more strength. These thoroughbreds want to lead the pack. They’re the hot ticket for Melbourne Cup dining this year.

And Baia The Italian is suddenly out front! She’s been riding strong all afternoon and it’s neck and neck with Blackbird Café. This race is really heating up folks and it’s anybody’s race as we head into the final stretch.

The pack clubs together and is approaching the finish, storming over the line. The race is over! But it’s too close to call. Let’s go to a photo finish ladies and gentlemen.

If you’re after all of the big race action, paired with fine food and afternoon entertainment, then book your Melbourne Cup lunch at Cockle Bay Wharf. We’ve even got added photo finish action to capture your race day outfit.
