Cockle Bay Wharf – COVID-19 update

Friday 17 July

Welcome back! You can now drink and dine at Cockle Bay Wharf, with Blackbird Cafe, Pontoon Bar, and Lindt Café now open in line with current Government restrictions. Dockside and L’Aqua are also taking bookings for future events.

All Cockle Bay Wharf venues are diligent in ensuring their guests have a COVIDSafe dining experience. Cockle Bay Wharf recommends booking a table in advance whenever possible. For more information on NSW Health Regulations please see here

All venues are implementing COVIDSafe NSW Government practices to keep you, and the staff, safe:

  • A maximum of 10 people per group booking.
  • A maximum of 300 patrons or one customer per 4 square metres.
  • You will be asked to leave your contact details for the purpose of contact tracing.

If you're planning a visit, we ask you to take some extra precautions and follow the practical guidance of the Department of Health to help stop the spread of COVID-19:

  • Stay home if you are sick or are at higher risk.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water, lathering the backs of your hands, between your fingers, fingertips, and under your nails for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based sanitizer if you can’t wash your hands.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or your arm, when coughing or sneezing. 
  • People who have been in Victoria over the previous 14 days will be required to self-isolate for 14 days.

Friday 15 May

In line with the latest Government restrictions, Blackbird Café will be open at Cockle Bay Wharf for dining in selected sittings for up to 10 people from 12:00 pm today, Friday 15 May.

Blackbird Café is implementing all COVID-SAFE NSW Government practices to keep you, and the staff, safe.

  • All place-settings are 1.5m apart, in-line with social distancing measures.
  • 30 minutes is allocated between each sitting to ensure all tables, chairs, and surfaces are well sanitised.
  • You will be asked to leave your contact details for the purpose of contact tracing.

Our priority is the health and wellbeing of our customers, colleagues, and partners. In line with the latest Government guidance in relation to non-essential gathering restrictions, all venues at Cockle Bay Wharf are now closed for onsite dining and entertainment until further notice.

This is a rapidly evolving situation and we will seek to keep this information up to date.

We thank you for your continued support during this difficult time and encourage you to support local restaurants and cafés where possible, with takeaway options. We hope to see you dining at one of our venues as soon as possible, once the current situation subsides and our venues re-open.

The team at Cockle Bay Wharf are proactively working towards measures to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all customers, retailers, staff and local community.

At Cockle Bay Wharf we continue to maintain a high standard of cleaning and hygiene throughout the precinct. We have increased the cleaning frequently of high touch points and will continue to work closely with our venues to ensure they follow the same levels of cleanliness and hygiene.
