Still figuring out what to do this Australia Day long weekend? Our friends around Darling Harbour have a got plenty going on. With live entertainment, DJs, circus workshops, a watermelon eating competition and a thong flinging challenge!

Pair it up with some of Cockle Bay Wharf’s most fun dining destinations and you’re in a for a ripper of a weekend.

Here’s your weekend schedule:

11:00am – 3:00pm Take on true-blue bush challenges and get into the Australia Day spirit. A hilarious line-up of fun and games will let the whole family show off their uniquely Aussie skills. Munch your way to victory in a watermelon eating competition or take on the challenge of who can throw their thongs the farthest!

12:00pm Enjoy a fantastic line-up of multicultural live entertainment presented by SSI New Beginnings Festival at the Harbourside Stage.

2:00pm – 4:00pm Keep the kids going with free face painting at Blackbird Cafe.

3:00pm – 6:00pm Share a beer with mates at Blackbird Café’s Happy Hour. Enjoy the $28 Beer Jug Special.

7:00pm Treat the crew to dinner with Nick’s Group at Cockle Bay Wharf. That’s right, Adria Bar Restaurant, I’m Angus Steakhouse and Nick’s Seafood are open this Australia Day for all of your dining needs.

8:00pm and 9:00pm Be amazed by the Cockle Bay Water Show as Darling Harbour celebrates Australia Day this year with an exciting water show. See exhilarating water stunt performers ski and flip across Cockle Bay in a fun display of sound and light, sound-tracked with the classic Aussie hits we all know and love.
