Chinta Ria
On the Roof Terrace of Cockle Bay Wharf, next to the Pyrmont footbridge
entrance, Simon Goh's aptly named Chinta Ria - Temple of Love
specialises in a wonderful array of delicious hawker-style Malaysian
cuisine reminiscent of an asian street market.
A giant smiling Buddha greets you as you enter Chinta Ria, presiding
over the restaurant's busy atmosphere. A smart, casual, friendly and
funky eating place, the aroma of Malaysian spices mingles with the soft
fragrance of incense and frangipani to seduce your senses.
Hot Food combines with Cool Jazz (live on Mondays) and a temple-like
decor with a twist of funky laminex to make dining at Chinta Ria a
special experience.
You can't book, but if you do have to wait briefly for a table, it's
well worth it... and there's plenty to do at Cockle Bay Wharf in the
meantime.
Fully licensed and BYO (only for Wine and Champagne).
