The Royal Botanic Garden Sydney has opened a permanent exhibition space to mark the garden's 200th birthday. The $17 million centre, named The Calyx, has the largest living green wall in the southern hemisphere and will feature different exhibits about every nine months.
The Garden has an archive of more than 1.2 million specimens of plants, with about 600 to 700 species collected by Joseph Banks and Daniel Solander during their 18th century exploration voyages.
